Back From Thanksgiving

While on vacation I let the family take a look at the product. I know that they are family so they are going to be supportive but they seemed to be genuinely impressed with it. Now I'm really pumped.

I'm already looking forward to the next project which appears like it will be a JV. I have to remember to keep myself focused. It is so easy to get sidetracked and I feel like my ADD has played a part in my limited success so far.

Anyway, I have been putting the finishing touches on the sales page. I'm not sure if I told you last or not but I finally heard back from Clickbank and they confirmed that the sales page and thank you page had to be finished in order to make a submittal to them for approval. I was hoping to submit the product in its current state today but that won't be happening. Tomorrow is another day=)

About to Hit the Road

I'm off to visit family out of state for Thanksgiving. The laptop is with me and ready to take its first adventure. I'm not sure how available Internet access is going to be but if I find some I'll let you know.

Happy Thanksgiving!

LAPTOP!!

I finally have it. I had planned on making my first post with it at some wi-fi spot but Barnes & Noble here as an affiliation with AT&T and their wi-fi isn't free. Nevertheless, I'm enjoying the new laptop and not having to sit at the desk to get work done.

I've decided to go ahead with the product in its current form for approval from Clickbank. That way when I get the final changes made, I will be ready to roll.

I'll be going on vacation on Wednesday for Thanksgiving. It looks like the launch won't happen until after the holiday. Stay tuned because things are going to get interesting with the launch.

Blogging Absence

Man, things have been busy and distracting lately. I didn't even realize how long it's been since I blogged. Well not much has happened. My editor is pissing me off though. He may be able to do somethings well but listening to instructions is not one of them. The product will not be able to launch until after Thanksgiving because of it. Sigh. At least my laptop should be here later today.

It's Been a Bit

Yeah, I've been busy celebrating my birthday (25 years old now) and figuring out what to do about the laptop situation. I finally ordered it Saturday and it is supposed to be here Friday. I decided not to go with Dell. Right now I am looking for a backpack for it. The Swissgear Synergy is looking pretty good as a candidate.

The product is finished except for one minor change. Once I take care of that, I will be submitting it to ClickBank for approval. Fun times=)

May I Please Have My Product?

Met with the editor today to make the final touches on the product. I thought I'd be able to walk away with it today but I was, of course, mistaken. Oh well, things are progressing so that is all I can really ask for, right? We will just say yes and move on=)

Laptop time. After not being able to find what I want, I have decided to just go with Dell and have them craft one for me. With the options that I need, it looks like it will run me about $1k. Not nearly as bad as I thought but the laptops are also on sale at the moment. When are they not on sale at Dell=) Anyway, I will probably order it Tuesday after I transfer some money around. Finally!

Real Estate

It looks like the tenant will be out in a week or two. I really hate kicking them out especially this close to the holidays. I wish the bank wasn't requiring me to live there or I'd leave things as they are and let them stay. Right now, the duplex has a positive cashflow of $295/month. That $295 would have the same effect on my cost of living as me moving into the duplex. Oh well. I plan to stay there for 6 months, a year tops, and then move into another place.

Rinse and repeat...

Final Touches

I'm putting the final touches on the sales letter and am supposed to meet with my editor today to finish up the product. I will be SOOOOOO glad when it is in its final state and ready for ClickBank. I've been going to forums and reading about ClickBank vendors. They really do seem to have an advantage over affiliates because they can have affiliate of their own. Ten decent affiliates making as little as a sale a day each can be huge. Let's look at the math.

Me alone: Let's assume I only average 2 sales per day. I forget how much ClickBank takes out but let's just assume it is 3.5% of each sale. That would be a gross of $96.40 on a $49.99 product.

10 decent affiliates: Let's assume I am generous and offer a commission that would equate to $25.00 for me after paying the affiliate and ClickBank. These affiliates are decent and can average a sale a day each. That's $250.00 gross.

$96.40 + $250.00 = $346.40/day Gross

Now of course there are factors that I have not accounted for such as my own ad costs, averaging 2 sales/day myself, the difficulty in finding 10 decent affiliates, and other costs but you can see the potential there.
