Merry Christmas

It is 7:45am and not a creature is stirring... Except me of course. This is the last chance I will get to do some work and blog so I had to jump on it.

I already sent a broadcast out to my list saying Merry Christmas and sneaking in a link that offers the opportunity to buy my product=) No hard sales, just opportunities to purchase.

I am also fighting to stick with my personal challenge. I want to have my foot in the door of 2 potential product markets by the new year. The problem is that being with family is so distracting, as is the pull of Call of Duty 4 and other games.

I have found one market that is going to get a definite attempt so now I'm looking for the next. The creation of the sites will be easy. I have the Universal Template, as usual, and the content will be made up of articles from EzineArticles initially. This is just so that the site can get established and indexed by Google. Once the pages are indexed, Adwords costs should be decent so I will wait to implement ads until that time. Additionally, I will have the autoresponder in place prior to releasing the ads. Essentially, I will be doing what I did with my first site except with some new twists that I have learned.

This time I am leaning heavily on the research end. My first product site is in a market with a relatively small amount of traffic. I want these new ones to have at least 2-3 times that amount of searches. The price of the products will be $75+. Rather than fight it out with the bargain-basement-Walmart-Wannabes I'm going to establish myself as the high-end, ultra-quality, elite site in the niches.

Anyway, back to work for the next hour or so. Merry Christmas everyone!

Product Progress

Not much going on. My JV partner has been producing a few sales here an there which has helped boost this month's revenue. It also gave me an idea on what I should be doing every month with my product site.

JV interviews.

Yes, JV phone interviews. What I plan to do to boost the sales of my affiliates year round is very simple. I will go to sites that are in my niche and ask them if they would like to sell my product. If they agree then I will convince them that it would be a good idea to do a phone interview with me as free content for their site/list. By doing so, they will have free promo material for my product that they will be able to use year round whenever they wanted to generate sales.

I would find one or two sites to do this with per month. So by December 2008, I would have 24 affiliates with unique audio interviews to help them promote my product. Sounds like a plan.

I am also in the process of implementing the first stage of the $120/Day Exit Strategy. This is creating 2 new products for the current site. Both of these products will be audio courses in the niche. Several niche authorities have been contacted and now I'm waiting to hear back. These two products need to be launched by early to mid-Feb. Each of these products will be expected to produce less than $25/day.

That is the key. No portion will be expected to be a major heavy hitter.

New Computer - Hear It Roar!!

Yes, the rebuild of my old computer is complete. Things were touch and go for a little while but I think I have everything stablized now. It has an Intel dual-core processor that I will attempt to overclock to 3.0 GHz, 2 gigs of RAM, brand new 160GB SATA hard drive, and the elusive NVIDIA 8800GT! You should see Call of Duty 4 on this thing. It looks great.

Anyway, I've been out of pocket working on the computer and playing games=) but I'm back to business. In fact, I just completed my very first JV call for my product. My JV partner interviewed me and I think it turned out well. He is hoping for 20-40 sales from this mini-launch. If so, that's a nice $424.20 - $849.60 for me. That would be awesome!

I've finished up 4 product pages and they are ready for traffic. These products pay $40-$60/sale and my goal is to achieve about 5 sales/wk ($200 - $300/wk). Not much but it will be a baby step toward the goal of $120/day.

$120/Day
Using one of the Dreamlines Author Tim Ferriss created I calculated that I need to make $120/day in order to quit my job. That is the goal. No more pussyfooting around. I'm tired of the day job and it's time for concrete goals to bring me to that end.

I suggest you fill in a Dreamline and see how much you have to make before you can quit your job. You'll be surprised at how small the amount may actually be.

Main Site & Product Promos

The dropshipping setup is moving slowly. Empress suggested Cubecart but I haven't made the leap yet. I'll probably continue with Zen Cart until the set up is finished and see how things go.

I've been researching the next markets to hit and have come up with one in particular. It is the one that brought me my first $100 day. My tactics this time will be different this time around. I hope to have several products up by the end of the week.
